Making Wireless Coverage a Breeze

LEED certification is a great benefit to building and their ongoing costs. The energy saving techniques used offer benefits during construction and ongoingly. Once of the places these benefits fail is in wireless services, but this is a double edged sword. E-Glass blocks cellular coverage and public safety signals from entering your building (that’s bad) and blocks Wi-Fi signals from leaving (that’s good).

Below is a chart of E-Glass loss and you will see it is at least 33dBm of RF loss, that’s a 1,100% drop in signal. An 11 fold drop regardless of which of the cellular radio frequencies you are connected on.

So E-Glass is beautiful, but if you stand indoors on a winter day with the sun on your face, take notice you are not being warmed up. In that same way the RF signals we use everyday are being blocked. To fix the issue you have to repeat or re-broadcast those RF signals that you need inside your building. That’s where VentusRF can help. Give us a call and we can discuss your exact issue(s) and provide you a solution to each.
