Having been in the designing of in-building RF environments for over 15 years now, I am very excited to share with you the news that we have built a new SaaS tool for designing indoor Cellular, Public Safety and Wi-Fi solutions using your browser of choice on your existing computer. Use Macs, Linux, and Windows with a wide variety of browsers tested (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc.)
In building a solution, you will import your floorplans, add walls, both automatically and manually. Currently our solution is only importing about 55% of the walls correctly, but we’re ongoingly working to improving that and we are driving updates on a routine basis. We’re saving 1/2 the time it used to take in other products and expect more savings soon.
If, like me you have built a set of preferred VEX files for certain parts you constantly reuse, bring your exported VEX files and import them into your account. That’s right, you can import VEX files to add to your available components. We are currently importing most VEX files without issue, but VEX files are not a tightly controlled file format and we have found lacy work done when they are created, plus this gives you the chance to update the graphic images used in your VEX files to much higher quality images, making your designs more beautiful and understandable.

Design View where you select the floorplan coverage area(s), add & edit the walls and allowed cable pathways, add all your components and see your RF coverage maps.
Then review the Schematic View to make sure you’ve included all your parts and ancillary components.
Finally you can go to the BOM View and edit key bulk or individual man-hours or pricing values to set your BOM to match your project needs. It’s a long document and we’re glad it exports to PDF or Excel so you can work with it in your proposal.
